Vegetarian mushroom goulash

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg mixed mushrooms
  • 2 onions
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 pack of KNORR Naturally Delicious! Spicy Goulash (seasoning base)
  • 1 bunch of basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with spice base

Brush the mushrooms and chop into large pieces. Peel and finely dice the onions, and finely chop the soup vegetables. Heat the oil in a high-fat pan and sauté the onions for 2-3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and fry vigorously. Add the soup vegetables and stir in the tomato paste. Pour in 400 ml of water, stir in the seasoning base, bring to a boil, and simmer the mushroom goulash for 10-15 minutes, until the soup vegetables are tender. Season to taste and serve garnished with torn basil leaves. Serve with red cabbage and bread dumplings or simply with rustic country bread.
