Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of frozen Brussels sprouts, 300 g
  • 1 pack of sausages, approx. 4 pieces
  • 1 pack of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 slices of black bread (crust bread)
  • 4 slices of cheese (Geheimratskäse/Jerome/Mondseer)
  • 2 slices of bacon
  • 1 pinch(s) of sea salt or herb salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) galangal

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Thaw the Brussels sprouts, cook in salted water until tender, and then rinse with cold water. Slice the sausages and fry until browned. Add the Brussels sprouts, season with salt and galangal, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. In the meantime, top the bread with the cheese and bake in the oven (or on a crispbread plate for crispier results). Fry the bacon (you can also do this in the oven or on a crispbread plate). Sprinkle the cheese bread with cayenne pepper and herb salt and place the bacon on top. Serve with the Brussels sprouts. Hearty, savory, and something different!
