Fruit salad with pickles and walnuts

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 oranges
  • 2 apples
  • 2 bananas
  • 4 medium-sized gherkins
  • 1 can pineapple
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 handful of walnuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Grandma’s fondue salad

Clean the fresh fruit and chop it into small pieces, as you would for a fruit salad. Reserve the pineapple juice and add the pineapple itself. Cut the gherkins into small pieces and add them. Now chop the walnuts (not too finely) and add them too. Mix everything with the mayonnaise and a little pineapple juice. Grandma’s fondue sauce goes perfectly with this, and if you don’t want a meat fondue, you can also serve a piece of savory seared meat. Freshly baked ciabatta rounds out the meal.
