Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 stalk(s) leeks
  • Water
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp, heaped sugar
  • some margarine
  • nutmeg
  • some butter
  • 3 tbsp flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Clean the leek and cut it into finger-thick rings. Place it in a pot and cover it completely with water. Season with salt and sugar, and add a little margarine. Cook everything for 15 minutes. Drain the leek and reserve the water. Melt the butter in a pot and make a light roux with the flour. Now pour in the leek water until a creamy sauce forms. Season the sauce with nutmeg (or salt if desired). Add the leek to the sauce and stir. This is delicious with boiled or skin-on potatoes.
