Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 savoy cabbage
  • 40 g butter or margarine
  • 2 onions
  • 250 g tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 20 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Prepare the savoy cabbage, wash, quarter, and slice or grate into thin strips. Sauté the diced onions in hot butter. Slice the tomatoes (blanch and peel them first, if desired). Combine the savoy cabbage, onions, and tomatoes, season, and cook for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with flour, stir well, bring to a boil briefly, and season again. Goes well with meatballs and pan-fried dishes.
