Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 500 g minced meat, preferably beef
- 2 large onions
- 1 pack of tomatoes, chopped, with herbs, approx. 400 g
- ½ pack of tomatoes, pureed
- 3 large tomatoes
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 can peas, fine
- 1 jar mushrooms (mushroom heads)
- 1 can of corn
- Salt
- chili powder
- Curry ketchup

not just a children’s feast
Brown the minced meat along with the finely diced onions in a deep pan. Make sure it doesn’t become too crumbly. Meanwhile, cut the bell peppers into bite-sized pieces and drain the peas, mushrooms, and sweetcorn. You can use the mushrooms whole or cut them into halves or quarters. Add the chopped tomatoes, pureed tomatoes, bell peppers, peas, mushrooms, and sweetcorn to the cooked minced meat. Season to taste with salt, chili powder, and curry ketchup. Simmer gently for 13 minutes, stirring frequently. Check whether the consistency of the bell peppers is to your liking. If they are too firm for you or your children, simmer a little longer. Meanwhile, dice the additional 3 tomatoes. Add them to the pan and simmer for another 2 minutes so the added tomatoes can heat through. The tomatoes add a final burst of freshness to your dish. Serve with rice.
