Chicken leg with cheese and herb crust

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 chicken legs
  • 2 tsp clarified butter
  • 100 g cheese, Emmentaler ger.
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped herbs
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 125 ml water
  • ½ cube of instant chicken stock

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut open the insides of the chicken thighs, fold them open, and season. Place them in an ovenproof dish and add a teaspoon of clarified butter to each one. Crumble in the water and half a stock cube, then bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, depending on the size of the thighs. Meanwhile, for the crust, mix the Emmental cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, herbs, and salt. Press the crust mixture onto each thigh and return it to the oven until it’s nicely browned.
