Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2,500 g carrot(s)
  • 1,500 g potatoes
  • 800 g diced pork (roast pork)
  • 8 sausages (Mettwurst)
  • 2 onions
  • 300 g beans, dried white
  • some oil (sunflower oil)
  • 2 liters of water, cold
  • some salt
  • some pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 45 minutes

The night before, soak the dried white beans in water. Cut the meat and sausages into small pieces. Heat the oil in a large pot (for 8 people). Add the meat and sausages and brown them. During this time, finely chop the onion and add the carrots and potatoes. Add the onion and fry. Add 2 liters of cold water (including the soaking water for the beans). Add the soaked beans. Cook for about 45 minutes, add the carrots and potatoes, and cook for another 20-25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
