Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 ml rum, 54%
- 350 g white rock sugar
- 2 orange(s), untreated
- 1 lemon(s), untreated, zest
- 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
- 2 vanilla pods
- 5 star anise
- 15 cloves, whole
- 1 tsp mace

Carefully peel the oranges and lemons, removing the white pith. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Combine all ingredients in a wide-mouth bottle, shake well, and let it steep for about 4-6 weeks. For 150 ml of mulled wine, add about 2 cl of the mixture.
