Cinnamon rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g puff pastry (frozen)
  • 50 g butter, melted
  • 50 g sugar
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • Sugar for rolling out

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

enough for approx. 12 pieces

Thaw the puff pastry according to the package instructions. Then stack the sheets on top of each other and roll them out on a sugar-dusted work surface into a rectangle measuring approximately 45 cm x 35 cm. Turn the dough regularly to coat both sides. Brush half of the finished rectangle with melted butter. Mix the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the dough. Then fold the other half of the dough over the top and press down firmly. Cut into 12 long strips with a sharp knife. Press each strip down firmly. Then twist it into a rope and form the rope into a pretzel. Place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) and bake the pretzels for approximately 20-25 minutes. The pretzels do not need to be brushed with egg wash or similar, as the sugared puff pastry caramelizes beautifully in the oven. Tip: If you prefer, you can of course also use fresh puff pastry. Instead of 12 “regular” pretzels, you can of course also make 24 “mini” pretzels. These pretzels are incredibly quick and easy to make, making them perfect for unexpected visitors.
