Indian frozen meal

Place the corn kernels and white beans in a pot with the onions and butter and simmer gently for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the sour cream and season with salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. This is a classic Native American “freezer meal.” It was prepared in winter and frozen outdoors in flat platters, which were heated as needed. The quantity here is calculated based on the size of a side dish.
