Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 6 honeydew melons, very ripe (or watermelons)
- Water
- possibly sugar or honey
- Ice, cubed
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Melon water
Remove the melon flesh from the skin, place it on the scales, and let it steep in a bowl with the same amount of water for 10 minutes. Strain through a sieve and sweeten with honey or sugar, if desired. Serve well chilled with ice cubes. Tip: The melon water can also be enjoyed as a cold soup. Simply add a little less water to the flesh to make it more viscous. Served in the melon skin, the soup looks especially appetizing.
