Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g honey
- 100 g sugar
- 100 g margarine
- 350 g flour (wheat flour type 550)
- 150 g oat flakes
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 20 g cocoa powder, dark
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 lemon(s) – zest, grated
- 1 tsp anise
- 1 tsp clove(s), ground
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 175 g icing sugar (for the icing)
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for the glaze)
- 4 tbsp water (for the topping)

Gently heat the honey, sugar, and vegetable margarine until combined. Then let cool for 30 minutes. Mix the flour, oats, baking powder, and cocoa powder together with the spices, milk, and honey mixture. Chill for 20 minutes. Roll out the dough, cut out stars, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Be careful, the stars will rise during baking! Bake at 175°C for about 10 minutes. Once cooled, smooth the powdered sugar with cinnamon and water and brush the stars with it. The finished stars will still be hard; they will soften if stored in a tin with an apple slice.
