Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 dl milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Water
  • 150 g bacon (cooking), in one piece
  • n. B. onion(s)
  • Butter, for frying
  • Aromat

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Spätzle with bacon and onions

Whisk the flour, egg, milk, and salt into a batter until it bubbles. Add a little more flour or milk if necessary. Boil salted water and press the batter in portions through a dumpling strainer. The dumplings are ready when they float to the top. Remove them with a slotted spoon and rinse with cold water. Dice the bacon and onion and fry in butter. Then add the dumplings and season with flavoring.
