Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 5 large mushrooms, white or brown
- 2 eggs
- salt and pepper
- e.g. breadcrumbs
- n. B. Clarified butter for frying

Clean the mushrooms and slice them into approximately 4 mm-wide slices. Whisk the eggs with salt and pepper, then scatter the breadcrumbs in a deep dish. Coat the mushrooms in the egg and breadcrumbs and fry or deep-fry in a hot pan with a generous knob of clarified butter. They’re perfect with salad, tzatziki, or even with fries.
