Whiskey Strips

The perfect whiskey strips recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 350 g Pork tenderloin
  • 2 Onions, finely chopped
  • 5 tbsp Strong meat broth
  • 5 tbsp Whiskey
  • 100 g Fresh mushrooms
  • 0,25 bunch Parsley
  • 0,25 liter Whipped cream
  • Salt and pepper
  • Clarified butter
  1. Cut the meat into fine slices and sear them in a pan with clarified butter over high heat. Season with salt and pepper, remove from the pan and keep warm. (It doesn’t matter if some bits are still a little pink.)
  2. Sweat the onions in a pan with a little butter until golden brown, deglaze with the stock and whiskey and reduce by half. Cut the mushrooms into thin slices and add. Add the meat juice that has leaked out of the meat and reduce it well.
  3. Before serving, add the parsley, cream and the meat, heat briefly, season with salt and pepper. It is important that the meat is not completely cooked through. That way it stays tender and juicy. Dumplings, hash browns or spaetzle go very well with the schnitzel.
