Chili Burger
The perfect chili burger recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Ingredients for the homemade ban’s:
- 225 g Sifted flour
- 110 ml Water
- 0,5 packet Dry germ
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Egg
For the burgers:
- 800 g Minced beef
- 8 Discs Gouda cheese
- 4 Iceberg lettuce leaves
- 4 Tomato slices as thick as a thumb
- Onion rings
- Curry chilli ketchup
- Hot sauce degree of heat 6
- Salt and pepper
- Ground caraway
- Sweet paprika powder
- English mustard
- For the burger bans, mix well the flour, salt, dried yeast and sugar. Mix the water, egg and oil well in a measuring beaker and pour into the bowl with the dry ingredients, mix everything well and knead into a compact, smooth dough. Knead well for 10 minutes.
- Then cover the dough with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour. Shape 4 balls of the same size and place them on a baking sheet lined with paper. Let rise for another hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and whisk together 2 tbsp, 2 tbsp milk and an egg. Brush the bans with this mixture and sprinkle some sesame or chia seeds over them. Bake in the oven until golden brown. In the meantime we put the minced meat in a bowl and season it with salt, pepper, cumin, paprika powder, English mustard and 1-3 drops of retribution. Knead well and form 4 labels of the same size.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and fry the onion rings and the tomato slices on both sides. Take out and put aside. The Laberl are fried in the same pan as they taste: rare, medium or well-done. Cut open the ban’s. Brush the bottom and lid with curry-chili ketchup. Place a slice of cheese on the laberl in the pan, the salt sheet on the bottom put onion rings, a slice of cheese, the laberl put onion rings and the tomato again. Put the lid on and bite in!
