Dried Peppers with Mozzarella on Lettuce
The perfect dried peppers with mozzarella on lettuce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Dried peppers
- Dried peppers
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch Sugar brown raw sugar
- 1 Dried chilli
- 1 Clove of garlic
- 1 piece Rosemary sprig
- Vegetable broth

- 60 g Buffalo mozzarella
- 1 Handful Lettuce leaves
- 3 Basil leaves
- 3 Dried peppers
- Onion rings red
- Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon Balsamic Crema Fig-Date
- 1 teaspoon Freshly chopped pistachios
Dried peppers
- Let the peppers in vegetable stock with a pinch of sugar simmer gently for 10 minutes and then let it steep for another 10 minutes.
- Drain the peppers through a sieve and allow to cool. Put in a sealable jar with the chilli, garlic and a little rosemary and cover with olive oil. Let it steep for a week in a dark, cool place.

- Cut the mozzarella into slices. Place on a plate with the lettuce, basil, pistachios, dried paprika and onion rings. Drizzle some olive oil from the pickled peppers and balsamic vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- A friend brought me the peppers from Sicily, but I’ve also seen them in Turkish supermarkets.
