Mediterranean Filled Baguettes

The perfect mediterranean filled baguettes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 long Baguette
  • 200 g Herb quark
  • 150 g Soft butter
  • 3 hard boiled Eggs
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 10 Olives stuffed with peppers
  • 4 Sun-Dried tomatoes, pickled in herbal oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. For this recipe I was inspired by the following recipe from Luna-61: APPETIZERS – FILLED BAGUETTES But since I make a completely different filling, I set this as a separate recipe – of course after consultation with Luna-6 Thanks Luna for the great inspiration.
  2. Put the hard-boiled eggs in a bowl and finely mash them with a fork, add the garlic. Now add the very soft butter and the herb quark and work everything into a homogeneous mass.
  3. Chop the olives and tomatoes into fine cubes and add to the mixture and work in well. Now season with salt and pepper.
  4. Now cut off the ends of the baguette and cut into approx. 5 – 6 equal pieces and hollow them out well – this is best done with a sharp knife.
  5. Now place a piece of baguette on a board and fill it with the filling. Press the filling down again and again so that there are no air holes. Wrap the baguette pieces tightly in cling film -. like candy – and park in the refrigerator overnight.
  6. Just before the guests arrive, take the baguettes out of the refrigerator and cut into slices with a sharp knife.
