Cookies: Fine Butter Cookies (rocking Horses)

The perfect cookies: fine butter cookies (rocking horses) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Dough:

  • 300 g Flour
  • 250 g Butter
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Taste of rum
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 pinch Ground cinnamon

for decoration

  • 1 Egg yolk
  • Colorful sugar sprinkles

  1. Put all the ingredients in the bowl of the food processor and mix well together. Chill the dough for about 45 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough in small portions on a floured work surface approx. 5 mm thick. Cut out figures and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. I chose the rocking horses because I make other butter cookies based on an uncle’s recipe.

For decoration

  1. Brush the cookies with egg yolk and sprinkle with colorful sugar sprinkles (I forgot …)
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 ° C for about 12-15 minutes until golden
