Chocolate Cake with Orange Juice

The perfect chocolate cake with orange juice recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Sugar white
  • 200 g Soft butter
  • 4 Free range eggs
  • 400 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Rum
  • 150 Milliliters Orange juice
  • 200 g Whole milk chocolate shavings
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Powdered sugar
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt until frothy. Add the eggs and stir in. Add the rum and orange juice and stir in.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in two portions. Add the chocolate shavings and stir in. Pour the dough into the prepared springform pan and smooth it out.
  3. Place the cake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees (fan oven) and bake for approx. 55 – 60 minutes. (Stick sample) After the baking time, take it out of the oven, let it cool down for 20 minutes, remove the springform pan and let it cool down.
  4. Place the cooled cake on a cake plate and sprinkle with the powdered sugar.
