Empanadas
The perfect empanadas recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 medium sized Onion
- 1 small Clove of garlic
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 250 g Minced meat
- Salt
- 0,5 tsp Hot paprika powder
- 0,5 tsp Ground cumin
- 50 g Green frozen peas cooked
- 1 role Pizza dough finished product
- 1 Egg yolk
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- Coarse sea salt
- 300 g Cream yogurt
- 2 tbsp Chopped mint
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- Finely dice the onion, finely chop the garlic clove. Fry the minced meat in hot oil, fry the onions and garlic briefly. Season with salt, hot paprika and cumin. Mix in the peas and allow to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (fan oven 180 ° C). Unroll the pizza dough, use a glass (12-13 cm diameter) to cut out tightly spaced circles. Spread the filling in the middle of the circles, leaving a 1.5 cm wide border free. Fold half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together with a fork. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with a little coarse salt. Bake in the hot oven on the middle rack for about 20 minutes.
- Mix the creamy yogurt, mint, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Serve with the empanadas.
