Jacket Potatoes with Chives and Ham Sauce

The perfect jacket potatoes with chives and ham sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 12 Waxy potatoes
  • 2 Pc. Vegetable onions
  • 2 Packages Boiled ham
  • 500 ml Vegetable broth
  • 400 ml Lactose-Free cream
  • 1 package Frozen chives
  • White sauce thickener
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Sweet paprika
  • Napati seasoning
  1. Boil the jacket potatoes. I take quite large potatoes, so I don’t have to peel so much 🙂 For my friend I throw smaller ones into the pot after 10 minutes, he also eats them unpeeled ^^
  1. Peel and roughly dice the onions. In a large frying pan, heat the frying fat and sauté and sauté the onions until they are translucent, but they should not get any color.
  1. Throw the ham and add to the onions and fry for a few minutes.
  1. Pour in the vegetable stock and cream and bring to the boil. I use lactose-free cream, but cream cheese should be included in the original recipe. It also tastes good and you can save yourself the sauce binder.
  1. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, paprika and seasoning of your choice. I like Napati very much.
  1. When the potatoes are done, bring the sauce to the boil again, thicken with a sauce thickener and first carefully add the chives. For me it was half a package yesterday, but it was also a large package. Iglo has smaller packages, so I’ll take a whole one.
