Dumplings: Cabbage Dumplings
The perfect dumplings: cabbage dumplings recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Floury potatoes
- 250 g White cabbage
- 1 piece Fresh onion
- 0,5 tablespoon Lard / fat
- 0,5 teaspoon Ground caraway
- Salt and pepper
- 100 g Potato flour
- 100 ml Water
- Boil the potatoes, peel them and drive them through the press.
- Peel and dice the onion and cut the cabbage into small pieces.
- Heat the pork lard in a pan and roast the onion cubes and the cabbage, stirring constantly, until it is nice and soft. Season to taste with caraway powder, salt and pepper.
- Emulsify the potato flour in water and stir the potatoes, white cabbage and potato flour together to form a dough. Shape six dumplings.
- Bring enough water to the boil, salt it and pickle the dumplings. Simmer for five minutes and then simmer for about 15 minutes until the dumplings float on top.
