Meat: Angus Fillet and Sprue Steak with Baked Potatoes
The perfect meat: angus fillet and sprue steak with baked potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Angus fillet, 230 g
- 1 Angus beef steak, 340 g
- 3 Potatoes
- 1 handful Mixed cocktail tomatoes
- 8 Pimentos, fried peppers
- 1 Tl Brown sugar
- 6 turns Steak pepper
- Flor de Sal natural
- 2 Toes Garlic
- 1 Tl Oil
- Peel and halve the potatoes. Place in an ovenproof bowl and drizzle with oil. Then cook in the oven at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes. After 30 minutes add the pimentos and the finely chopped garlic.
- Take the meat out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking. It should be at room temperature.
- Then tap the fillet a little with your hand, as it was too high for me in this case.
- Let the oil get hot in the pan and fry the meat well on both sides. Then let cook for 2 minutes on each side. Now wrap in aluminum foil and place in the oven to cook. Only about 7 minutes. There is enough time with this tender meat. I put it with the potatoes at 200 degrees.
- In the meantime, let the sugar caramelize and add the cherry tomatoes.
- Serve with the baked potatoes and the pimentos and season a little with the Flor de Sal. Put the steak pepper on the meat. We didn’t want to use any more spices for the beautiful meat.
- Please do not cut the meat straight away. It has to rest for a little while, otherwise the good gravy would leak out.
