Cucumber Filled with Gyros
The perfect cucumber filled with gyros recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Gyros
- 300 g Turkey breast
- 3 tablespoon Gyros spice
- 4 tablespoon Olive oil
- 4 tablespoon Chili
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 small Red pointed peppers
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 150 g Sheep cheese

- 1 size Cucumber
- Salt
- Pepper
Gyros
- Wash the turkey breast, pat dry, cut into strips and place in a tin
- Mix the meat with the gyros spice, salt, pepper, chilli and oil and leave to marinate in the fridge overnight.
- Now fry the meat without adding any fat, remove it and let it cool down a little.
- Put the cleaned pointed peppers, peeled onions and garlic in the meat stock, roast briefly and add to the meat,
- Finally, crumble the cheese and add it to the gyros mixture.

- Wash the cucumber, cut in half and remove the seeds with a spoon, season with salt and pepper.
To fill
- Now dab the cucumber inside with a little kitchen towel and distribute the filling in it.
- Now go into the 180c. warm oven for 25-30 minutes – take out and let rest a little
Serving
- Halve the cucumber and serve with the side dish to your liking – we had mashed potatoes and I served some tzatziki – bon appetit; 🙂
