Spice: Gomasio
The perfect spice: gomasio recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 55 g Unpeeled sesame seeds
- 25 g Black cumin
- 10 g Coarse flaky sea salt
- In a pan, roast the sesame seeds and black cumin seeds over a medium heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to smell golden brown. Be careful not to let the sesame get too dark.
- Grind the mixture while still lukewarm with the salt in a small lightning chopper, mixer or in a mortar to a coarse powder. However, it should not be ground very finely, so that individual seeds can still be seen. Let the mixture cool down completely and only then pack it.
