Spice: Gomasio

The perfect spice: gomasio recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 55 g Unpeeled sesame seeds
  • 25 g Black cumin
  • 10 g Coarse flaky sea salt
  1. In a pan, roast the sesame seeds and black cumin seeds over a medium heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to smell golden brown. Be careful not to let the sesame get too dark.
  1. Grind the mixture while still lukewarm with the salt in a small lightning chopper, mixer or in a mortar to a coarse powder. However, it should not be ground very finely, so that individual seeds can still be seen. Let the mixture cool down completely and only then pack it.
