Giotto Role
The perfect giotto role recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
shopping :
- 2 packet Giotto
Dough :
- 5 Pc. Egg yolk
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 70 g Sifted flour
- 1,5 tsp Baking powder
- 50 g Ground nuts
- 100 g Grated carrots
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 5 Pc. Protein
- 1 Pc. Parchment paper
Filling:
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 a cup Cream
- 1 packet Cream stiffener
- 150 g Hazelnut yoghurt e.g. Almigurt
- 210 g Giotto crushed
Ornament:
- 1 a cup Whipped cream
- 1 packet Cream stiffener
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla sugar
Ornament:
- 12 Bullets Giotto
because of Christmas !
- 2 tablespoon Sugar pearls
- Sugar
Preparation :
- Grind the carrots very finely.
Protein:
- Beat in egg whites with salt until stiff. Line a 4-sided baking sheet with baking paper.
Jellyroll :
- Beat egg yolks and sugar until frothy.
- Fold in the flour, baking powder, carrots and nuts. then fold in the egg whites. Brush on the paper.
to bake :
- Let it cool down in a damp towel at 200 ° C for approx. 12 minutes.
Filling:
- Mash the Giotto up to 12 pieces, best with the potato masher, fold in the hazelnut yoghurt.
Completion :
- Whip the cream with the vanilla sugar and cream stiffener until stiff, fold in the Giotto yoghurt mix. Spread approx. 1/2 amount on the sponge cake, the rest around the outside of the roll. Then put on the 12 Giotto and sprinkle with pearls.
- Cool well !!
