Beta Burger

The perfect beta burger recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Beetroot tubers
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • Oatmeal
  • Whole grain crumbs
  • Chopped basil
  • Freshly chopped thyme
  • Salt
  • Hot paprika powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  1. Peel the carrot, onion, clove of garlic and beetroot (attention – colors! It is best to use disposable gloves) and grate or chop. Put everything in a fine sieve and mix with the cooked millet or oat flakes, leave to stand for 15 minutes.
  1. Then squeeze everything out well, as the beetroot contains a lot of liquid and otherwise the patties will not stick together. Now season well and mix with whole grain breadcrumbs (depending on how moist the vegetables are, otherwise whisk with an egg).
  1. Heat some oil in a pan and pour the mixture into the later patty size (depending on the size of the roll) with a spoon and flatten it a little. Use only moderate heat, otherwise the beetroot will burn too quickly. Turn after about 3-4 minutes. Serve warm in the burger.
