Turnip Curry

The perfect turnip curry recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Turnip
  • 4 Carrots
  • 2 Garlic cloves pressed
  • 2 Fresh onions
  • 3 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Curry
  • 2 tsp Turmeric spice
  • 2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Honey liquid
  • 100 g Raisins
  • 200 g Chickpeas canned
  • 2 Bay leaf spice
  • 0,5 liter Vegetable broth
  • 0,5 liter Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 Can Coconut milk
  • 0,5 bunch Chopped parsley
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  1. Cut the turnips, carrots and onions into cubes. Sweat the onion in butter. Add the diced vegetables, chilli, chickpeas and the pressed garlic. Scrape out the vanilla pod. Sprinkle the spices, bay leaf and vanilla pulp over the vegetables and fry with them.
  2. Deglaze with the stock and juice, add the raisins and simmer for 20 minutes. Add coconut milk and honey, season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with parsley and serve. Enjoy your meal!
