Poppyseed and Almond Strudel

The perfect poppyseed and almond strudel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 piece Puff pastry slices
  • 300 g Ground poppy seeds
  • 200 g Chopped almonds
  • 150 Milliliters Milk lukewarm
  • 1 piece Free range eggs
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 10 Milliliters Vanilla flavor
  1. Mix the poppy seeds, sugar and vanilla flavor well. Spread the puff pastry sheets on clean household towels and coat each with 1/3 poppy seeds. Sprinkle chopped almonds on all three. Sprinkle with some rum and roll up. Bake at 180 ° C for about 45 minutes. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream or with vanilla sauce. Fantastically delicious.
