Rösti … with Christmas Touch …

The perfect rösti … with christmas touch … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Hash browns

  • 2 Fresh potatoes approx. 200 g
  • 1 Fresh carrot approx. 50 g
  • 0,5 Fresh apple approx. 100 g
  • Pepper and salt
  • 20 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 1 piece Spekulatius
  • 0,25 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1 Knife point Ground cardamom

Cranberry Dip

  • 1 tablespoon Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cranberries from the glass
  • 0,25 Teaspoon (level) Cinnamon powder

Serving

  • Apple fresh
  1. 1 …. the strangest ideas come up. But since I found it edible and not a nightmare, the recipe ends up in my cookbook anyway 😉
  2. Peel, wash and roughly grate the potatoes. Clean and roughly grate the carrots. Quarter and peel the apple, remove the core and grate roughly as well. Mix the potatoes, carrots and apple thoroughly. Season with pepper and salt.
  3. Coarsely grate the marzipan. Finely grate the speculoos. Mix both with the spices into the potato mixture.
  4. Fry the hash browns in hot fat on both sides until golden brown. Then drain on kitchen paper.

Cranberry Dip

  1. Mix the crème fraîche with the cranberries and cinnamon.

Serving

  1. Remove the core from the apple and cut into thin wedges. Arrange the rösti with the cranberry dip and the apple wedges on plates.
