Pointed Cabbage from Frying Pan …

The perfect pointed cabbage from frying pan … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 0,5 head Cabbage
  • 30 g Branded butter
  • 2 Pinches Salt
  • 3 tablespoon Water
  • 3 tablespoon Chopped parsley
  1. Halve the pointed cabbage lengthways. Use half of it for another dish (e.g. coleslaw or stew). Quarter the other half lengthways and cut away the central wedge so that all the leaves can still hold together.
  2. Fry the butter in a pan with the salt until it starts to brown. Now put the pointed cabbage quarters in – with the cut sides first and now brown nicely over medium heat.
  3. When both cut sides have got the desired color, place the pieces on their backs, pour in the water, put a lid on the pan and let simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Use a spoon to drizzle the liquid that is still in the pan over the pointed cabbage and serve the tasty quick vegetables sprinkled with parsley.
  5. There was also wide ribbon noodles and an “ox cheek ragout” … a poem!
