Honeycake

The perfect honeycake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Honey
  • 100 g Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 150 g Butter
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 pack Baking powder
  • 10 g Cocoa powder
  • 2 tl Ginger bread spice
  • 100 g Chopped almonds
  • 50 g Citron Mix
  • Grated lemon peel
  1. Melt the honey, sugar and butter and allow to cool.
  2. Stir in all other ingredients in the food processor, stir in the cooled honey mixture and put it in the refrigerator. Over night. Ideally in an elongated Tupperware container. Then all you have to do is cut
  3. Take the chilled dough out of the fridge. I just needed to cut it into thin slices. approx 0.5 cm
