The benefits of homemade shampoos
Whether silicone or artificial fragrances: With your homemade hair care you completely avoid potentially irritating chemical additives. This is ideal if you suffer from sensitive scalp. They also match the ingredients precisely to your hair and thus create your very own, effective remedy for dandruff or a dry scalp.
Plus, you save on junk with your DIY shampoo. Finally, store the finished product in a recyclable glass bottle. Incidentally, this self-made beautifier can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks. At the same time, there are also DIY options for dental care. So read how to make toothpaste yourself.
Homemade shampoo for normal hair
Is your mane not particularly dry, greasy, or limp? Then you only need 250 ml of distilled water and 15 g of solid natural soap for your DIY shampoo. Chop the latter with a kitchen slicer and dissolve the pieces in warm water. Finished! For an extra wellness effect, add a few drops of essential oil to the mixture. Rosemary or lavender oil, for example, is suitable here, as it has strengthening properties and can therefore help against hair loss, as can certain foods.
Homemade shampoo for dry hair
Is your scalp itchy or even flaky and your hair dull? Then you suffer from a dry mane. Help here: 50 ml of liquid soap, 100 ml of coconut milk, and a teaspoon of honey. Heat the latter and mix with the other two ingredients, done.
Tip: If you tend to split ends, massage the tips with nourishing natural oil such as coconut oil, avocado oil, or olive oil.
Homemade shampoo for greasy hair
A mixture of 100 g nettle blossoms and 100 ml liquid soap helps against overproduction of sebum. Pour hot water over the flowers and let them soak overnight. Then just mix the brew with the soap and your sebum-regulating beautifier is ready.
Homemade shampoo for fine hair
For fuller hair, mix two tablespoons of castor oil with a teaspoon of salt, an egg, and 100ml of liquid soap. Important: Gently massage the shampoo into the scalp while washing. This is the only way for it to develop its volume boost at the base.
Tip: In addition to shampoo, you can also make soap yourself. Here we explain how to do it. And with our instructions for knitting a dishcloth, you can spread your DIY fever to the household!
