Although the pit of a mango is quite flat, it is quite large, making it difficult to cut the fruit. We show you how to prepare a mango without much mess.

Cut the mango correctly – that’s how it works

  1. Do not lay the mango across, but straight in front of you and cut off the left and right sides.
  2. You should end up with two fairly large side pieces. The middle piece is about 2 to 3 cm wide, this is where the core is hidden.
  3. Now take one of the two halves and cut criss-cross through the flesh every 2 cm
  4. You will then receive a checkered pattern. Take the mango half in your hand and gently press the peel inwards.
  5. The mango is now ready to serve. If you want to process the fruit directly, the small mango pieces can simply be peeled off or cut off.
