Although the pit of a mango is quite flat, it is quite large, making it difficult to cut the fruit. We show you how to prepare a mango without much mess.
Cut the mango correctly – that’s how it works
- Do not lay the mango across, but straight in front of you and cut off the left and right sides.
- You should end up with two fairly large side pieces. The middle piece is about 2 to 3 cm wide, this is where the core is hidden.
- Now take one of the two halves and cut criss-cross through the flesh every 2 cm
- You will then receive a checkered pattern. Take the mango half in your hand and gently press the peel inwards.
- The mango is now ready to serve. If you want to process the fruit directly, the small mango pieces can simply be peeled off or cut off.
