Healthy sweets are becoming more and more popular. And you don’t even have to resort to expensive supermarket products. We’ll tell you how you can easily make the low-calorie sweets yourself with just a few ingredients. Then snack yourself or give away your own creations.
Healthy sweets in the form of a granola bar
Even the products in the supermarket that are presented as particularly healthy and calorie-free often contain a lot of sugar and flavor enhancers. This is particularly the case with muesli bars. They are presented as a source of energy, but they are actually to be regarded as pure calorie bombs. So if you really want to snack on something healthy, you should simply prepare it yourself.
- For around 12 granola bars you need 75 grams of nuts of your choice, 150 grams of dried fruit, an apple, 75 grams of flour, 75 grams of rolled oats, and 2 tablespoons of honey.
- First, grate the apple and chop the dried fruit and nuts into small pieces. Mix everything together and add the remaining ingredients.
- Then spread the mass on a baking sheet lined with baking paper so that it is about 1.5 centimeters high. Put it in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
- While everything is still warm, cut your bars and let them cool. And you already have a healthy snack in between.
Energy balls provide energy
These tasty little balls give you the right kick when you are listless and weakened. Not only do they taste super delicious, but they are also healthy and can be made with just two ingredients without any baking.
- For 20 pieces you should have around 100 grams of chopped almonds and 180 grams of dates ready. Cocoa powder, cinnamon, or vanilla extract are optional, depending on your preference.
- Now put the ingredients together in a blender until everything is chopped up. Then take out small portions with a spoon and roll them into a ball with your hands.
- If the dough falls apart, put the energy balls in the fridge for an hour or two and you’re ready to eat them. The balls will keep for about a week in a sealed jar.
Fruit ice cream refreshes
Would you like a sweet refreshment? Then give this delicious quick recipe a try. Compared to the ice cream flavors from the supermarket, this one is made without any sugar or cream.
- You only need three ingredients for this treat. Low-fat quark, frozen fruit, and some honey or agave syrup for sweetening. You can easily taste how much of each ingredient you use. Do you prefer it fruitier, then more berries, or something sweeter, then simply more honey?
- Put all the ingredients in a hand blender and you can enjoy the healthy quark dish.
Have you got a craving for cookies? Then you can choose from a wide variety on the supermarket shelf. But do you want them to be healthy and low in calories? Then maybe you should just try this variant.
- All that should be on your shopping list for this is oatmeal and a ripe banana or, optionally, just fruit pulp.
- First, mix 100 grams of rolled oats with the mashed banana or fruit pulp. Now take out small portions with a spoon and shape them into a round biscuit on the baking tray.
- Place the tray in the oven at 170 degrees top/bottom heat for around 15 minutes and your whole kitchen will smell like a bakery. For those who find it not sweet enough, toppings can of course also be added. From raisins to chocolate flakes to dates.
