How to prepare a vegan celery schnitzel
For two portions of celery schnitzel, you need the following ingredients: half a celery bulb, salt, breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons flour, 6 tablespoons water, and vegetable oil.
- Peel the celery and cut it into 1cm slices.
- Then boil the celery slices in salted water for 10 minutes.
- Now mix 6 tablespoons of water with a pinch of salt and 2 tablespoons of flour.
- Dip the celery first in the flour and water mixture and then in the provided breadcrumbs. Tip: Repeat the process for a thicker breading.
- Now fry the escalopes in enough oil until they are golden brown.
