Grilled desserts: Grilled fruit with marshmallows
This grilled dessert is quick and tastes heavenly. Tenderly melting marshmallows meet fruity fruit.
- The best fruit for this are peaches, melons, pineapples, and nectarines. Marshmallows complement the dessert.
- Wash the fruit thoroughly. Cut the peaches and nectarines into wedges and remove the stone.
- Remove the core from the pineapple, peel the fruit, and cut the flesh into slices.
- Cut the melons into wedges.
- Grease an aluminum grill pan with vegetable oil and place the fruit on the pan. If you like, you can also add some sugar or rum to the fruit.
- Grill the fruit for about 15 minutes and then add the marshmallows. After another five minutes, the dessert is ready.
Caramelized pineapple skewers
With this recipe, you bring Caribbean flair to your barbecue evening.
- Ingredients for four people: 1 pineapple, 40g granulated sugar, a pinch of sea salt
- Preparation: Peel the pineapple, remove the stalk and cut the flesh into pieces about five centimeters long and two centimeters wide. Thread the pineapple pieces onto wooden skewers.
- Place the sugar and sea salt in a large bowl and press the skewers in until well coated with sugar all over.
- Place skewers in grill trays and grill over medium-high heat for 6 to 7 minutes, until fruit is tender and sugar is caramelized.
Grilled bananas with nut nougat cream
Grilled bananas are a quick and easy dessert after steak & co.
- Ingredients for four people: Four bananas, 1 glass of nut nougat cream, vanilla ice cream
- Preparation: Lay the bananas on their side so that they lie flat. In this position, cut the peel twice from top to bottom, about one centimeter apart. Flip the shell up.
- Prick the visible flesh of the fruit several times with a fork and spread the nut nougat cream over it.
- Place the bananas on the grill and grill until the skin has turned black and the hazelnut spread has melted.
- Serve a scoop of vanilla ice cream with the bananas.
Grilled berries
This recipe is a bit more complex but convincing with its beery taste.
- Ingredients for four people: 3 lemons, 80g butter, 120g granulated sugar, 4 egg yolks, 60g crème fraîche, 300g strawberries, 1 orange, 150g raspberries, 150g blueberries
- Preparation: Squeeze the three lemons and put the juice with the butter and 60g sugar in a saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium-high heat until the butter and sugar have melted.
- Stir in the yolks over low heat until the mixture thickens. Take it from the stove and let it cool off. Add the crème fraîche and chill the cream.
- Wash the berries and also cut the strawberries in half. Squeeze the orange and add the remaining 60g of sugar to the juice. Mix the berries with the orange juice.
- Spread the berries on four large pieces of parchment paper and fold them into packets. Wrap them in aluminum foil and grill them at 200 degrees for around eight to ten minutes.
- Open the packets, add a spoonful or two of lemon cream and serve the berries while they are still hot.
Grilled peaches with thyme
This recipe is particularly refined thanks to the combination of fruity and tart flavors.
- For four people you need four ripe peaches, some honey, four sprigs of thyme, and ice cream to taste.
- Wash the peaches thoroughly. Halve them, remove the core, and place them side by side in a grill pan.
- Drizzle the honey over the fruit and place a sprig of thyme over each half of a peach.
- Place the peaches on the grill for about five minutes.
- Serve the grilled peach halves with a scoop of ice cream, for example, vanilla ice cream.
