Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 point sheep’s cheese
  • 1 pc. Dough sheets (Yufka, available in Turkish shops)
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Feta cheese in pastry

Knead the feta cheese with chopped parsley and olive oil. Place about 2 tablespoons of this mixture lengthwise on a yufka sheet. Fold the bottom end of the dough over it and fold the left and right sides over it, then roll it up. Seal the edges of the dough with a little olive oil and press down firmly. The rolled sigara should be about the size and shape of a cigar (hence the Turkish name). Now deep-fry the sigara. You can also fry them in plenty of oil in a pan. They go well with tzatziki. They make a great finger food at parties. You can also replace the yufka with wonton pastry or puff pastry sheets. If you like, you can also add dill, mint, and paprika.
