Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 50 ml water, lukewarm
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ½ tsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

makes 6 – 8 pieces

Combine all ingredients except flour, salt, and egg yolk in a mixing bowl and mix together. Gradually add the flour and salt and knead the dough. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes. Mash the cheese with a fork. Form the dough into small balls, the size of a lemon. Roll the balls out into rounds, add some cheese to the center of each one, close the sides, and flatten the rolls slightly. The closed side goes down. Mix the egg yolk with ½ teaspoon of sugar and brush the pastry with it. Use a fork to draw lines into the pastry. Let rise on the baking sheet for another 15 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown, this takes 20-30 minutes. Enjoy!
