Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 large cucumber(s), pitted and diced
  • Salt
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 450 g natural yogurt (10% fat)
  • Pepper, white
  • 3 tbsp mint, finely chopped fresh, plus a few sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Turkish tzatziki

Sprinkle the diced cucumber with a little salt and let it drain in a sieve for about 30 minutes. Crush the garlic with a little salt in a mortar and pestle. Mix with 2 tablespoons of yogurt, then stir the mixture into the remaining yogurt. Season with salt and pepper, then add the mint. Fold the cucumbers into the yogurt and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Garnish with mint sprigs before serving. Enjoy!
