Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g cheese (medium-aged Gouda in 2 cm thick slices)
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2 sprigs of parsley
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • some lemon juice
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg(s)
  • breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the peppers, remove the seeds, and cut into thin strips. Arrange them in a wreath on the plate. Finely chop the parsley and garlic clove. Pour over the peppers along with the oil. Season with salt and pepper. Cut the cheese slice into 2×2 cm cubes. Beat the eggs and coat the cheese all over in the eggs and breadcrumbs. Press the breading on. Repeat this process to ensure the coating adheres better and the cheese doesn’t melt during frying. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the breaded cheese cubes until golden brown. Arrange the cheese cubes in the center of the pepper wreath. Drizzle the cubes and peppers with lemon juice, if desired.
