Quick pickled red cabbage (red cabbage) Russian style

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 small red cabbage, whole
  • 200 ml sunflower oil
  • 100 ml vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 5 allspice berries
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 400 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

ready in 2-3 days

Quarter the red cabbage and pierce it several times with a wooden skewer (for shish kebabs). Bring all ingredients to a boil in a pot. Pour the boiling marinade over the red cabbage, cover, and let it simmer at room temperature for at least 24 hours (preferably 48-72 hours). Then refrigerate and serve cold.
