Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 200 g margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 40 g cocoa powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 500 g quark, low-fat
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 egg white, beaten stiff
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla flavor
  • 1 jar cherry(s)

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Russian Zupfkuchen, heavily modified

Make a shortcrust pastry from flour, margarine, sugar, cocoa powder, egg, and baking powder and roll it out onto a baking sheet. Spread the drained cherries over the pastry. Make a cream from the butter, sugar, low-fat quark, eggs, vanilla sugar, and pudding powder. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Pour everything over the cherries and bake at 200°C for about 40 minutes. After 20 minutes of baking, whisk the egg yolk and milk together and spread it over the cake.
