Rye Bread
The perfect rye bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 700 g Rye flour type 997
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 2 tsp Salt
- 500 ml Warm water
For the dough:
- Put the flour in a bowl.
- Add the dry yeast and mix.
- Add salt and warm water and knead well.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for several hours.
- Knead the dough well again and place in a floured cast iron saucepan.
- Sprinkle the dough with flour and score twice with the knife.
- Put the pot with the lid in the oven.
- Bake at 230 degrees top and bottom heat with lid for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake at 200 degrees top and bottom heat without the lid for another 20 minutes.
