Mozzarella, Parma ham, strawberries and Parmesan on arugula

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 handful of arugula
  • 1 ball of buffalo mozzarella
  • 4 slices of Parma ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 strawberries
  • some Parmesan cheese
  • n. B. Olive oil, high-quality
  • n. B. Balsamic vinegar, 10 years or older
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper, black from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Remove the stems from the arugula, wash the leaves, and spin dry. Wash the strawberries, remove the green parts, halve the fruit, and place them on a kitchen towel to dry. Shape the Parma ham into rolls. Place the arugula on a plate, season with a pinch of salt, and place the mozzarella in the center. Arrange the Parma ham rolls around the cheese. Now drizzle a little olive oil over the mozzarella, lettuce, and ham, and season the cheese with pepper. Then arrange the strawberries around the mozzarella and drizzle all the ingredients with balsamic vinegar. Finally, sprinkle wafer-thin shavings of Parmesan cheese over the dish; a vegetable peeler is ideal for this. Depending on the size of the mozzarella ball and personal preference, you can of course use just half a ball or just a slice. As an alternative to Parma ham, other Italian cured hams, such as San Daniele ham, are also suitable.
