Greek Lemon Rice Siros

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g zucchini
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 250 g rice
  • 500 ml water
  • 3 tsp broth (instant)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the zucchini and slice it. If the zucchini is larger, halve it first and remove the seeds. Peel the onion and dice it. Fry the minced meat in a deep pan until lightly browned. Add the diced onion and zucchini slices and sauté. Add the rice, sauté briefly, and deglaze with the water and stock. If the minced meat is heavily seasoned, use less of the instant stock powder. Let everything swell for about 20 minutes, until the rice has absorbed the water. In the meantime, squeeze the lemon and mix it with the sour cream. Serve the finished rice on plates and add a dollop of sour cream to each serving. Tip: Since we love sour cream, I always make a little more. Of course, you can also add garlic to the pan.
