Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 70 g bread(s), diced
  • 140 g bacon, diced
  • 70 g mozzarella, diced
  • 250 g béchamel sauce
  • 375 g tomatoes, sliced
  • 10 g Parmesan
  • oregano
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix the bread, bacon, and mozzarella. Brush a fireproof baking dish with olive oil and fill it as follows: Season half of the tomato slices well and spread them on the bottom of the dish. Spread the diced mixture on top, then place the remaining tomato slices on top and season well. Pour over the béchamel sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover the filled dish with aluminum foil and bake at 220°C – 230°C for about 50 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves before serving.
